1.Basic Principle : Butterfly valve + Compression
release

Before the compression stroke top dead center (TDC), the exhaust
valve is opened, and the work done by the engine while compressing
the air in the cylinder is released into the exhaust system to achieve
engine braking.

When the engine brakes,the solenoid valve open,the brake oil circuit
is turned on,and the brake piston is extended,when going to brake,
when the cam is activated,the brake valve is opened to achieve braking.

1.Comparison of Gas distribution mechanism - Compared with the EVB
model , in addition to the brake rocker arm , the structural
comparison of each part :
( 3 ) Rocker Shaft assembly : increase the oil passage , the width
of the exhaust rocker arm increase by 2mm to 18mm 。

( 6 ) The remaining parts are as follows:


 Lubrication pipe asy : Connect the rocker shaft and EVB
bracket,the upper and lower planes are fixed with hollow
bolts,according to the composite washer 。

 Solenoid Valve : Controls the opening and closing of the brake oil circuit.
with a hexagonal screw.
 Harness Bracket: The brake harness runs
toward the solenoid valve 。

2.Cylinder head comparison
( 1 ) Oil Path: The brake oil of cylinder nos.2 & 5 enters the EVB
bracket of the adjacent cylinder through the external oil
pipe,Then enters the brake oil passage of rocker shaft through the
lubricating pipe.

( 2 ) Processing Comparison
The EVB bracet is not positioned with a locating pin,and the EVB
bracket that used in particular locating sleeve 。

1 、 Valve clearance adjacent specification

a) Turn the flywheel to corresponding adjustment position


(detailed on the next page); intake clearance of 0.40mm
b) Brake clearance adjustment: Insert the feeler gauge between
exhaust valve bridge and the small piston of the exhaust
rocker arm, adjust the push rod side adjustment bolt to
maintain the brake clearance of 2.05mm ;
c) Exhaust valve clearance adjustment: Insert the feeler gauge
between the exhaust valve bridge and the spacer, and adjust
the exhaust valve clearance to 3.00mm 。

3. Installation Precautions
1 、 Valve clearance adjustment specification

① Turn the engine to the cylinder no.1 compression stroke TDC (the flywheel
shell observation window scale line is alligned with “3 4”), adjust the
intake valve clearance, clinder nos.1, 2, & 4 ; adjust the brake clearance &
exhaust valve clearance of cylinder no.3.
② Facing the flywheel end CCW steering wheel, the observation window tick mark
is alligned with the mark line “1 6”on the flywheel to adjust cylinder
no.6 exhaust valve clearance and brake clearance 。
③ Facing the flywheel end CCW steering wheel, the flywheel housing observation
window tick mark is alligned with the mark line “2 5” on the flywheel to
adjust cylinder no.2 exhaust valve clearance and brake clearance ;
④ Facing the flywheel end CCW steering wheel, the flywheel housing observation
window scale line is alligned with the mark line “3 4” on the flywheel to
adjust the intake valve clearance of cylinder nos.3, 5, & 6; adjust the brake
clearance and exhaust valve clearance of cylinder no.4 ;
⑤ Facing the CCW direction of the flywheel, the allignment line of the flywheel
shell observation window is alligned with the mark line “1 6”on the flywheel
to adjust the brake clearance and exhaust valve clearance of cylinder no.1 ;
⑥ Facing the flywheel end CCW steering wheel, the flywheel housing observation
window scale line is alligned with mark line “2 5”on the flywheel to adjust
the brake clearance and exhaust valve clearance of cylinder no.5 。 17
