perfect simple Form:

How to use:
- An action started in the past and continues to the present
or future.
- An action happened without mentioning when it started,
but it is still important now.
- An experience until the present.

2. Present perfect simple Vs Past Simple

- Present perfect simple: not mention about


when an action started or an action started in
the past and continues to the present (use
since, for)
- Past simple: mention when an action started
exactly, happened in the past and finished in
the past (use ago)

continuous
Form:
+) S + have/has + been + Ving
-) S + have/has + not + been + Ving
?) Have/has + S + been + Ving
How to use:
▹ An action started in the past to the present continuously.
▹ Emphasize that the action is long or repeated.

Sign:
Since, for, all, almost

- Both forms highlight a connection or link
from the past to the present.
- Both forms commonly use since or for.

Eg:
I’ve taught English for more than 20 years.
I’ve been teaching English for more than 20
years.

When we use verbs related to biographical information, such as: study, work,
live. There is no difference. Both can be used without any distinction. 

Eg:
I’ve lived in Hanoi for 3 years.
