How to use:
- An action started in the past and continues to the present
or future.
- An action happened without mentioning when it started,
but it is still important now.
- An experience until the present.

- Both forms highlight a connection or link
from the past to the present.
- Both forms commonly use since or for.
Eg:
I’ve taught English for more than 20 years.
I’ve been teaching English for more than 20
years.

live. There is no difference. Both can be used without any distinction.

continuous Stative Verbs:
Thoughts/opinions: agree, believe, doubt, imagine, know, think
Feelings/emotions: like, dislike, love, hate, want, prefer
Senses/perceptions: be, appear, hear, look, see
Possession/measurement: belong, have, own, possess
Eg:
I’ve known him for many years.
I’ve been knowing him for many years.
New/Temporary Situations
Eg: Since the gym near my home is closed, I’ve been going to the one
near work.
