Women Development Cell (WDC)

Who are we?

Women Development Cell, NITIE, provides and maintains a dignified congenial working environment for women
employees (including teaching, non-teaching and contractual workers) and students where they can work, study and
explore their potential to the fullest.

What Do We Do?
• To raise awareness of the Supreme Court and statutory mandate prohibiting gender discrimination and sexual harassment at
work, and to encourage active participation through academic, cultural, and outreach activities.
• To provide a platform for dialogue, discussion, and deliberation on woman’s rights and gender related issues.
• To encourage coordination with NGOs and law enforcement agencies in this area.
• To serve as a women's resource center and a forum for the exchange of ideas.
