The Great Commission

Purpose of the Cross

No More Religion
Fit for the King
A Hidden Treasure
Matt. 13: 44-47
The Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a
field. When a man found it, he hid it again and
than in his joy went and sold all he had and
bought the field.
Again the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant
looking for pearls. When he found one of great
value, he went away and sold everything he had
and bought it.
The World is Searching
• Humanity is searching and has been since the
dawn of creation. Evidence of his pursuit of
God is found throughout history.
• But is it religion he is searching for? Or is it to
understand his uniqueness?
• The message of the Cross and the Kingdom of
God is the greatest threat to Satan’s position
that anything else in the universe.
A New and Living Way
Hebrew 1:1-4 God, who at various times and in
various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by
the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us
by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all
things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3
who being the brightness of His glory and the
express image of His person, and upholding all
things by the word of His power, when He had by
Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right
hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so
much better than the angels, as He has by
inheritance obtained a more excellent name than
they.
Seed of Abraham
– 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels,
but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17
Therefore, in all things He had to be made like
His brethren, that He might be a merciful and
faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God,
to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being
tempted, He is able to aid those who are
tempted.
The House That God Built
• 1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly
calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our
confession, Christ Jesus, 2 who was faithful to Him who
appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.
3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than
Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more
honor than the house. 4 For every house is built by
someone, but He who built all things is God. 5 And Moses
indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a
testimony of those things which would be spoken
afterward, 6 but Christ as a Son over His own house,
whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the
rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. 7 Therefore, as the
Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice,
Fit for the KING
• 11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall
according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God
is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no
creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the
eyes of Him to whom we must give account. 14 Seeing then that we
have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the
Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High
Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all
points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come
boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace
to help in time of need.
Our Refuge
17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly
to the heirs of promise the immutability of His
counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two
immutable things, in which it is impossible for
God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who
have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set
before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of
the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters
the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the
forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having
become High Priest forever according to the order
of Melchizedek.
A New Covenant
• 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the
house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will
put My laws in their mind and write them on their
hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My
people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and
none his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all shall
know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of
them. 12 For I will be merciful to their
unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds
I will remember no more." 13 In that He says, "A new
covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what
is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to
vanish away.
How Much More the Blood of Christ
• 11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come,
with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with
hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats
and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy
Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if
the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling
the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how
much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your
conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for
this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of
death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first
covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of
the eternal inheritance.
We Need a Break Through
• As a church we have come as far as we can,
we have moved forward as much as we can in
our own strength.
• We must have a might RUSHING WIND
EXPERIENCE TO BREAK THROUGH TO THE
NEXT LEVEL GOD HAS FOR US!!
Destroy
• The Purpose for Christ’s death burial and
resurrection is for one main purpose…

• DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL

God Desires to Fill Us
• God wants to give us life His life, His Mind,
His Power, His Name, His Authority and His
