• PRS is solution/platform that provides insights & enables
performance management of MBB networks (performance analysis,
customizing reports, and displaying reports, etc.)

• In addition to default system reports, the user/client have the liberty to
create custom KPI reports that meet his/her needs.
• Operations related to reports (creation, viewing, modifying, and
maintaining reports) are under the Report Management function.

• How to create a user-defined/custom report? You’ve got 2 choices> 1.

• PRS allows you to have up to 32 sub-reports per each custom report.
• Sub-reports can have the same object/time settings or different settings
per subreport, as you wish!

• On each chart/graph you can control viewed Object, viewed KPIs, set y-
axis and its range (min/max), set colors, set series type (Line, Column,
stacked column, etc.) ,etc..

• Once you have finished designing your report (added objects/KPIs, sub-
reports, charts, etc.), you can save/query your report.

• As mentioned earlier, PRS has limited storage capabilities for each time-
dimension (e.g., 31 days max for hourly data).
• Scheduling a report can ease your burden (have u ever forgot to extract
hourly data @ the end of month for an SLA report ?)
• PRS allows you to set a scheduled task for an existing report as required.
Then, the system generates reports on a scheduled basis.
• How to create a scheduled report? Select a report and click> More

 Object Group Creation
• PRS allows for creation of groups of objects of same type
(cells, sites, BSCs/RNCs,..).
• Can be helpful in case u need to analyze performance per
area (add all objects on the area into 1 object group).

• Object Group Management involves:

 Create an object group (manually or template-based).
 Import an object group.
 Export an object group (ease of sharing!).

• How to create an object group? There are 2 ways (either
manually or thru preparing & importing an .xlsx template).
• From the main menu (under MAE-Evaluation home page),
choose Report>Object Group Management.

• Manual creation can be tedious case many instances need to
be added to a group! PRS allows for easier creation of object
groups based on .xlsx templates.

• Following is a sample illustration of how to create a 2G GCELL

object group based on xlsx template.

• Repeat the same initial steps on the New Object Group

window as before (Click>New, then Set: Name, NE type,
Object type, description, Type). Afterwards, fill in the below
template with the desired object instances (i.e. 2G Cells).

 Counters Activation
• PRS only extracts/aggregates data for system KPIs/counters that are
activated.
• In case you need to activate a system-KPI for use in PRS, you can do it
directly from within PRS or via the U2020.
• Inactivated system KPIs are displayed in gray (in the KPIs management
window).
• Below is an example activation of a BSC level counter (HR9725:Max subsys
CPU usage).

 T7816:Average Ping Packet Loss Rate of Adjacent Node [3G]
 T7913:Maximum Transmit Rate at the IP Layer on Adjacent Node User Plane per
Interface Board (indication of max. 3G Iub TX rate/Throughput) [3G]
 T7914:Mean Transmit Rate at the IP Layer on Adjacent Node User Plane
(indication of avg. 3G Iub TX rate/Throughput) [3G]

 AR9311:Average Number of Occupied PDCHs [2G]

 AR9406:Average Number of Sampled Occupied PDCHs (Overlaid Subcell) [2G]
Remark:
Last 2 counters can be used to calculate Busy PDCHs per 900/underlaid subcell
And, hence, PS traffic per band (since no raw counters are available):
