THE SENTENCE

DEFINATION

A group of words, which makes complete sense,

is called a sentence.

Ex:- Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

ASSERTIVE INTEROGATIVE IMPORATIVE EXCLAMATORY

 1. ASSERTIVE
It is defined as sentence which makes statement or
assertion.

Ex: The sun shines bright.

2. INTEROGATIVE
It is defined as the sentence which asks question.

Ex: Where does the sun rise ?

 3.Imperative
It is defined as the sentence which express
command, request, or entreaty.

Ex: Open the door.

4. Exclamatory
It is defined as the sentence which express strong
feeling.

Ex: How cold the night is !
