“The landscape is not simply trees,

flowers and leaves, but it is also a colorful art
stage where we are the artists who draw our
own stories.

Itroduction to landscape is taught by the

lecturer Dang The Hien for TDT University
Architecture students to help students have
their first insight and understanding in the field
of architectural design. Landscape architecture,
thereby creating a premise for students to take
basic approaches to further study if students
really love this subject in their future career
paths.”

The Champ-de-Mars is a large, completely open

public garden and is located in the 7th district of
Paris, between the Eiffel Tower to the northwest
and the Military School in the southeast. With 24.5
hectares, the Champ-de-Mars garden is one of the
largest green spaces in Paris. With a biennial
history, the Champ-de-Mars welcomes Parisians
and tourists year-round with a wide range of
activities.

The 1765 construction of the École Militaire,

designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, was the first
step towards the Champ de Mars in its present
form. The base for the military exercises was
Champ-de-Mars originally planned for an area south of the school,
the current location of the de Fontenoy site.
(Paris) Choosing to construct a promenade on the north
side of the school led to the construction of the
aristocratic facade that today surrounds the Champ
de Mars. Planners flattened the ground, surrounded
it with a large ditch and a long avenue lined with
elm trees, and as a final touch, the promenade was
surrounded by a net structural fence. Good heat
dissipation.

The Champ-de-Mars has become a large public

garden, with lawy alleys in the center. It is the
venue for many performances and activities,
whether concerts, exhibitions or fireworks, all for
free.

Because some main roads have high intersections, instead of placing the building
right on the main roads, moving the building indented and placing the secondary

In order to be able to compensate for the noise from traffic to the building, the main parts
of the building are pushed into the center and the appendages are brought out. In
addition, plants are used to suppress the noise. For example:
• Use rows of tall
ornamental plants to
shape. These can
reduce noise but also
beautify buildings.

The paths of the project are closely linked with each other (the auxiliary routes all lead to
the main routes). Not only that, the paths are also linked with traffic roads, creating
beautiful shapes when viewed from above.

What is a neighborhood intervention?
This is the medium scale type of interventions that take place in the public realm of a city,
related to the altering of a portion of a neighborhood. A type of intervention of such
magnitude and notoriety that impacts not only the immediate surrounding urban
environment, but rather the urban dynamics of a whole neighborhood, becoming an urban
landmark and a local attractor of social interactions in a given neighborhood.
Pegasus Trail is a new milestone in the typology of urban public interventions. The
neighborhood-scale intervention landed in the ever-growing city of Chongqing, the 3rd
largest city of China and one of the Chinese megacities with greatest growth rates in the past
decade.
The main objective of this typology is to trigger a massive public interest to the place
through a strong visual impact, usually of a permanent nature, encouraging the rise of high
public affluence and establishing an urban landmark that can cultivate important human
dynamics and boost commercial activity. The project intends to be a new space-style
company, "an urban toy for the city", a server for all citizens of the city, regardless of their
age.
The landscape acts as an urban attraction, merged with the cityscape, blurring the lines
between the play area and the surrounding city landscape, and exhibiting openness and
