TECHNICAL TOPICS: SOLAR PANEL
CLEANING ROBOT
 INTRODUCTION:

 Worldwide, there is more than enough solar radiation to meet

demands for solar power systems. The percentage of the sun's rays
that reach the earth's surface is enough to provide world energy
consumption 10,000 times over. Each square metre of land
obtains enough sunshine to generate 1,700 kWh of power per year
on average. Solar panels have a major impact on our planet. It can
help our environment by not using other power generation plants
that are environmentally harmful, but solar power plants must be
cleaned at least every three days. It largely depends on the
country; for example, in the Middle East, it must be cleaned every
day, which increases to the cost.
 WHY WE CHOOSE THIS TOPIC?

 Firstly, I see many of the topic in mechanical side but I

interested in manufacturing and design side I saw many of
new things in manufacturing. Also I interested in solar panel
side.
 I saw many of the research paper on internet. After I saw
solar panel cleaning robot is many of the problem in big solar
plant. And manual clean the solar panel its not easy for any
solar plant.
 After I decided the solar panel cleaning robot topics.
 Objectives:
 Design a solar panel cleaning system which can increase the
efficiency of solar panels.
 Increase the use of solar panels.
 Make the cleaning of solar panels simple and automated.
 Minimize human intervention.
 A cleaning system that does not affect the quality of the original
solar panel.
 An environmentally friendly cleaning system.

 Applications:
 In Solar Power Plants.
 In residential houses that use solar power.
Design Of Solar Panel Cleaning Robot
 Future Scope:

 The cost to build and using solar panels is one of the most
significant issues that people face. However, by increasing the
effectiveness of each solar panel and therefore lowering the
number of solar panels that must be put, the cost may be
decreased substantially. Using smaller number of solar panels
in order to attain the required energy will not only be cost
efficient but will also aid in having a beneficial effects on
environment. To improve the efficiency of solar panels, two
major factors must be considered: the first is the quantity of
light that falls directly on the solar panels, and the second is
how much of this light energy can be used successfully to
create electricity.
 Conclusion:

 The Solar Panel Cleaning System project aimed to provide a better solution
for maintaining solar efficiency. The main goal was to create a machine with
a good control system that can clean a solar panel. This project is a prototype
that has been built to expand on a new and growing market. The project team
faced several difficulties along the way.
 Designing the control system required knowledge with Raspberry Pi setups,
Python scripting, and its interaction with electrical components. The use of
soldering boards to execute the intended circuit, as well as physical wiring,
relays, and machines, were all new experiences. Having stated that, the
project achieved the desired design by implementing the anticipated control
and mechanism. To regulate the speed and direction of the DC motors, relays
and drivers were used. In addition, control code for the DC motors and water
pump were created and then integrated in the system.
