Balanced diet:
Def: Diet that gives your body all the nutrients
required by it in order to function correctly.

* Well- planned diet


*Covers all macro nutrients like proteins,
carbohydrates ,fats.
*Covers all micro nutrients like vitamins and
minerals.
Proteins
* macronutrients
*Help to repair damage cells
*And make new ones.
*Growth and development
in early stages of
childhood ,adolescence,
pregnancy.

Necessary:30-35 per cent

milk, egg, fish and meat.
Carbohydrates
* main source of energy for
both voluntary and non-
stop voluntary functions.

Fats
* provide energy, store,provide vitamins.
*Synthesise hormones.
*3 kinds of fat:
1.poly unsaturated: walnuts, flax seeds.
2.mono saturated:
Olive oil
3.omega 3 fatty acids:
Fish oil, walnut

Vitamins and minearls

*Supports
metabolism, nerve,
muscle function.
*Bone maintainence
* Cell production.
