ABSTRACT
 The objective of this project is to implement automation in the field of
agriculture, in order to reduce the man power.
 A bot is designed to perform functions like planting, seeding, fertilizing,
watering, spraying pesticides (if required) and harvesting in the field.
 All these tasks are performed automatically when the dimension of the field is
provided along with the distance between each plant or seed to be placed in the field.
 The status of the bot is intimated periodically to the user through the GSM
module.
 Solar panel is also used in order to make use of solar energy which aids in
recharging the battery, thereby increasing the operating time of the bot.
 The obstacle avoiding technique is automatically modified when the harvesting
mode is selected in the bot.

LITERATURE REVIEW
 Automated Farming Bot
In this journal, the described bot is designed to perform basic elementary functions like ploughing,
seed sowing, spraying with manual controls. The major drawback in this bot is the manual control
required for operation and also it performs only few operations in farming.
 Design and Manufacturing of Seed Sowing Machine
The journal explains about the design of seed sowing machine which plots the seed and fertilizer
with specific distance over a field automatically. This machine accounts for a number drawbacks
such as performing single operation and it doesn’t satisfy all the requirements in agriculture.
 Multipurpose Agricultural Robot
This journal depicts to develop a robot that perform fundamental operations like seeding,
fertilizing, irrigation. But it fails to implement the mandatory operations like planting, harvesting,
spraying pesticides.
 Design And Development Of A Robot Based System For Precision Farming
This paper presents a system which operates for advanced agriculture process which includes
cultivation based on the area defined for different dimensions of land scape on robotic platform.
The multifunction are operated in an single robotic platform such as Ploughing, Seed sowing,
Liquid fertilizing and Water sprinkling. The concept of planting and harvesting is not incorporated3

in this paper.
EXISTING SYSTEM AND DEMERITS
 The prevailing cost ineffective ,complex design and manual
operation of machines remarks a major disadvantage .
 Also the user will not be able to monitor all these machines
from a remote area.

PROPOSED WORK
 The design of this bot combines the functions of various machines like
plough, seeder, planter, fertilizer, pesticider, harvester and irrigation system.
 This bot is fully automated and starts operating when the user provides
the required dimensions of the field and distance between each seed or plant.
 The solar panel provides essential power requirement to the bot, along
with a rechargeable battery.
 The obstacle avoiding technique is automatically modified when the
harvesting mode is select in the bot.
 The harvesting module is not specifically designed but it can be used for
general crops but not with grains.
 The status of the bot is intimated periodically to the user through the GSM
module.
