Abstract
 Employee Management System is a distributed application,
developed to maintain the details of employees working in
any organization.
 The EMS has been developed to override the problems
prevailing in the practicing manual system
 It maintains the information about the personal and official
details of the employees.
Introduction
An employee management system is a software, that
helps your employees to give their best efforts every
day to achieve the goals of your organization. It
securely stores and manages personal and other
work-related details for your employees.
Uses

 Create a smooth onboarding process

 Track time and attendance 
 Better employee-manager relationship

Objective OF Our Project

 This project aims to simplify the task of maintaining records


of the employees of Company.
 To develop an well-designed database to store employee
information
 Provides full functional reports to management of Company.
 The objective of this project is to provide a comprehensive
approach towards the management of employee information.

 Java –Java is a general-purpose, class-based, object-oriented
programming language designed for having lesser
implementation dependencies. It is a computing platform for
application development. Java is fast, secure, and reliable,
therefore.
 MYSQL -MySQL is a relational database management
system (RDBMS) developed by Oracle that is based on
structured query language (SQL). A database is a structured
collection of data.
 XAMPP - is a software distribution which provides the
Apache web server, MySQL database .It is available for
Windows, MAC and Linux systems

 OPERATING SYSTEM - WindowsXP Professional
 DEVELOPING LANGUAGE – JAVA (jdk-5)
 DATABASE - MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2005
Hardware Requirements
 MEMORY SPACE: Minimum - 32 MB
Recommended- - 64 MB
 HDD - To install the software at least 2 GB and the data storage is
depending upon the organizational setup.
 PROCESSOR - Intel Pentium IV, 1GHZ or above
 RAM - 256MB or above
Output
Advantages

 Provide computerized system for maintaining records.


 More efficient & reliable.
 Less time consuming and easy to use.
 Huge data storage with less computer memory.
 Avoid Human errors & efforts for Maintaining daily data.
 Avoid Data manipulations.
 Also avoids Data inconsistency & redundancy.
Disadvantages
 Employees might feel over-ruled and controlled
 Risk of Internal Competition. Under this system,
employees compete with each other for job status,
position and pay.
Conclusion
The Project Employee management system is for computerizing
the working in company. It is great improvement over the manual
system. The computerization of the system has speed up the
process. In the current system the front office managing is very
slow The Employee managing system was thoroughly checked
and tested and was very reliable. The system also provides the
facility of backup as per the requirement
