focuses on providing an over all awareness
on the importance of positive mental health,
mental health professionals, & the entire
process of counseling & psycho-therapy.
Mental health problems don’t
discriminate.

It affects people of all ages. (from


children to adults & even people of
old age).
It affects people who are both
physically fit & unfit (other illnesses)
(especially the unfit & inactive).
Mental health problems don’t
discriminate.

People of all socio-economic &


education levels are vulnerable.

Poverty makes things even worse.


Myths, Stereotypes & Prejudices related
to Mental-health.

If you have mental health problems


you are mad.
Only mad people go to psychologist or
counselor.
If you go to a counselor/psychologist
you are weak.
Be a man and keep your problems to
yourself.
Myths, & Stigmas related to
Mental-health.

Mental health problems or emotional


problems don’t affect teenagers. They just
have mood swings.
People with mental health should be sent
mental asylum.
Only mentally ill people go to see
counselor.
Myths, Stereotypes & Prejudices related

Treatment for mental illness is electric


shocks & powerful medication.
Mental health problems can be cured by
medication only, just like any other
physical illness.
Students who get good grades & have
many friends will not have mental health
problems.
