Intake vs Exhaust Throttle

 Intake Throttle is more cost effective because of the


possibility to use less expensive materials due to the
lower temperature
 There is also the possibility to integrate on the same component
different functions needed on the engine

 Exhaust Throttle has *better performance than Intake


Throttle

designing and optimizing the complete EGR system in
terms of pressure drop
