OBJECTIVE

* To convert mechanical energy to electrical energy.

 As man was living on earth it uses many of the natural resources that were in the stage in some year years,
they were gone to be extinct. At this time also people are excited to worked at gyms and this energy were also
used by storing it.

 Proposal for the utilization of waste energy of power generation by gym pulley is very much relevant and
important for highly populated countries like India and china the people are crazy about gym. In this project
we are generating electrical power as non-conventional method by simply by forearm. ******

 In this project the conversion of force energy into electrical energy.

 Forearm is an excellent source of energy, 95 percentage of the exertion put into forearm power converted into
energy.

4
Introduction

 Forearm Machine is the transfer of energy from a human source through the use of
rack and pinion system. This technology is most commonly used for gym center or
house.
 We can store the energy which will be used further at many places for future used also
the amount of energy were stored were less but it in future it will help in the extinction
of the natural resources.
 If some modification were done in this power generation machine then the amount of
storing energy will be increase automatically.

COMPONENTS

1. Engaged and Disengaged gear :-Engaging and disengaging gear

is that in which, or means of which , one part is alternately
brought into gear or out of gear with another part as occasion
may require.
2. DC Motor :- A DC motor is any rotary electrical motor that
convert direct current into mechanical energy. The most
common types rely on the forces produced by magnetic fields.
3. Rack :- A rack is a device for changing rotary motion into linear
motion, in which a gearwheel engage with a flat tooth head
bar.

7
 Spur Gear:- Spur gear are the simplest type of gear. They consist of a cylinder or
disk with teeth projecting radially. This gear permit minor adjustment during
assembly and allow for some displacement due to deflection under operating
loads without concentrating the load on the end of the tooth.
 Spring:- Spring is a mechanical device designed to store energy when deflected
and to return an equivalent amount of energy when released.
 Battery:- Battery generally used to stored the converted energy which will further
use it is of 12V battery also the battery voltage is depend on use of this project
and workout done on it.

METHODOLOGY
 Convert human energy into machinal motion.
 Mechanical motion will transfer to shaft.
 Motion will converted into shaft motion.
 Then apply a DC motor for the moving parts of body
 Attach a Battery to store energy.
 Attaching the batteries to appliances which will be used in future.

10
Future Scope

 The fitness is important factor in modern life and people are interesting in gym exercise.

 This system is first implemented on gym bicycle. The other equipment’s are available Leg Extension,
Let Pull down, Adjustable Cable Crossover in the gym.

 This equipment’s can be used to generate electricity. Hence gym can automate by using gym
equipment’s. It’s our new approach to this future trend.

Dis Engage Gear 1500/-
DC Motor 760/-
12V Battery 900/-
Rack (per set) 340/-
Spring 150/-
Total 11390/-

•Colleges

•Schools

•Gym centre

Modifications

 If arrangements of the machine equipment's will be in different position the

output will increase.
 If size of the machine change and apply in a rectangular body the weight will
be increase as per the body.
 At the place of Roller we can use pully then rotation of wheels will increase
that will produce more energy to store in a battery.

NOTE:- These modification will be apply on assumptions only because of the

change in shape and size of machine and will increase the risk of injuries and
done in guidance of senior authority only.
