3. Synopsis
• There are many types of turbines available to harness the wind and hydro energy. But most of the
turbines are used for electricity production on a large scale and the installation costs of these
turbines is very high and is only affordable by the big companies. With the help of this hybrid
turbine, a small number of households can get electricity and it can also run motor to irrigate the
agricultural lands.
• Hybrid wind and hydroelectricity generator can produce electricity from surface water energy and
wind energy in a combined form. With this compact machine a large amount of cost, space and
maintenance costs as opposed to general turbines.
• The water turbine has two rotors which rotate in a similar manner to that of a windmill. A turbine
is placed inside the water to use the swill flow of water stream and it is connected to the main
shaft. A wind turbine is mounted on the top with a proper base to utilize the wind energy and it is
connected to the main shaft. The transmission of motion is achieved by using gears. The entire
system floats on the water surface on the floating tubes.
