CAN/CAN’T
When do we use the verb can?

"Can" is a modal verb and it has different uses; how to speak skills in general,
is used to ask permission or grant it, to offer something or also to talk about
things that are generally true or not.

The general structure of the sentence is:

SUBJECT + CAN/CAN’T + VERB + COMPLEMENT


(I/You/He/She/It/We/ They)
Examples:

AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE

- She can not run fast.


- She can run fast. - She cannot run fast.

- She can’t run fast.

- I can play volleyball. - I can’t play volleyball.
