WHAT IS ABDM INTEGRATION ?

• ABDM refers to the “Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission” to create a National Digital
Health Eco-system under National Health Authority (NHA)
• National Health Authority (NHA) is the apex body responsible for implementing India’s
flagship public health insurance/assurance scheme called “Ayushman Bharat Pradhan
Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana”
WHO CAN INTEGRATE INTO ABDM ?

• It allows individuals, private and public entities to register and get certified in the
sandbox environment.
• This allows the customer to register for the provision of ABDM-powered
services( ABHA number capture and verification, HIP services and HIU services) to get
access to both nationally certified doctors and patients.
• MedTel can integrate with ABDM and get its certification as a healthcare service
providers(HIP) and Health Information User(HIU), health locker with respect to its
products .
HOW TO INTEGRATE INTO ABDM

Entry procedure for integration :

• To register into ABDM Sandbox environment, click on
https://sandbox.abdm.gov.in/applications/Home/signup_form/
• To register we need to provide:-
Responsible person details-
Company details- Type of organization
Intent (HIP, HIU, HRP, PHR app, Health Locker)
Descriptive explanation of motivation regarding registration.
 Exit/Approval procedure for integration :
1. Functional and Non-functional testing of the application done by internal team of NHA
2. Security testing of app is to be done and Safe to host certificate to be collected from third party
agencies approved by CERT-IN or STQC.
3. Final round of approval by internal team of NHA with applicants producing following before
committee
• Functional testing report for integrations completed
• Safe-to-Host certificate for the application
• Summary details of the application
4. Get certified and go live.
WHY TO INTEGRATE ?

1. Early adopter advantage:

Integration into ABDM Sandbox environment, will given brand recognition and loyalty. It would
give time to develop economies of scale – cost efficient ways of producing or developing a product
Negotiations in contracts with other B2B for the sale and purchase of inventory
2. Government policy & subsidy utilization
It will also enable geography and demography-based monitoring and appropriate decision
making to form design and strengthen implementation of health programmes and policies
3. Access to information
Access to more accurate information on health facilities and service providers. Further, they
will have the option to access health services remotely through tele-consultation and e-
pharmacy.
 WHY TO INTEGRATE ?

4. Regulatory protocols development

• GOI might insist all Health care providers to mandatorily get certification from ABDM
• GOI recently released draft health data management policy(HDM) and invites
suggestions/comments on draft HDM policy
• NHA also released open call for expression of interest (EoI) for creating digital ecosystem
in the country
5. Predictive analytics:
• The integration will open up enormous health data with time stamps and timeline, using
this along with Big data and AI, MedTel can be frontrunner of preventive healthcare.
• Preventive healthcare refers to the prediction of diseases with the current symptoms using
previous data and giving reminders and nudges to the patients.
INTEGRATION OF DIFFERENT FEATURES OF
MEDTEL INTO ABDM
1. ILAB – HIP
ILAB has a varied range of tool kits containing medical devices bundled in a care package for
pregnancy, hypertension etc., This package kits are delivered to the patient based on the suggestions from the
health care facility.

2. IRPM – HIP
IRPM is a product of MedTel,that connects diagnostic devices, a smartphone app, and a web-based
dashboard for hospital access and review. 

3. Satellite clinic – HIU

Satellite clinic is a software product by MedTel, Here MedTel gets into contact with the HSP and make
separate B2B contracts to supply with the software.
4. Teleclinic – HIU

Teleconsultation is a new B2B model that MedTel is looking into, This requires both
access to Health Repository Providers (HRP’s) and access to the medical professionals
