Full Truck Load or FTL • In this case, and entire vehicle is placed for movement of cargo from Place A to B
• Transporter gets demand from customer and places own fleet or hires a fleet from open
market
Express Cargo Delivery • Transporter typically picks up cargo from multiple customer location and consolidates at his
or LTL operating hub
• Transporter then sorts material as per various destination and dispatches cargo to his hub at
another location
• At destination hub, cargo is sorted and distributed to individual customer door
Multi-modal Delivery- • In this case, the cargo may be moved by air or rail in the long haul rather than by road
