 The NFE teacher should also make use of data collection
techniques such as the following:

 Informal critiquing session with a staff member or trained


local leader facilitating the activity.
 Individual/group interview

1. The words used are simple. They are within the spoken vocabulary of the
target clientele.

14 words for the advanced.
4. Paragraphs are short. For materials that are long, headings and subheadings
are used.
5. There is enough space in the margin, between words and between lines.
6. Printing type is larger than that used for the general public.

need.
5. What is suggested is within the capacity and resources of the target group to
try out or implement.
