Physical and Mental Health Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic To The Students of Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus
◦ Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and
recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require
medical attention.
◦ The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when
they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory
droplets to smaller aerosols.
Background of the Study
◦ You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are near someone who has COVID-19, or
by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. The virus spreads
more easily indoors and in crowded settings because of this kind of virus, a government
decided to lockdown the whole country to stop the spreading of these kind of virus. And also
COVID-19 pandemic has completely reshaped higher education, with campus shut downs,
shifts to remote learning, and curtailed campus life. These drastic and abrupt changes have
created challenges that can threaten the mental health and well-being of college students.
Some empirical work has revealed that the COVID 19 pandemic elicited substantial negative
effects on the students’ health.
Background of the Study
◦ The aim of this study is to collect data and information and to know how these kind of problem have
overcome by the students in the University, and how they faced it in times of lockdown.
◦
◦ To achieve this, survey and questionnaires need to distributes in first year college students up to fourth
year college student to collect data and information about the study.
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to collect data and information and to know how these kind of problem have overcome by
the students in the University, and how they faced it in times of lockdown.
