Why use though?

Though is often used in spoken English to give a


contrasting idea with the meaning of but or
however. It can be used by the same speaker to
contrast ideas or it can be used by a second
speaker to disagree in a “soft” way. When used
in this way though is often at the end of the
sentence.

conversation presented.
