1.DIRECTION – Is the line of movement taken which maybe forward, backward, sideward, diagonal, upward, or a combination of those mention.
2.LEVEL – Is the movement through space that
maybe done at high, low, or medium level. 3. RANGE - refers to the area covered as the body moves. It maybe small as when the movement is done in one’s palce; or large when movement covers a wide area as when gettiing away from one’s place.
4.FLOOR PATTERN – the path or design that is
made while moving in space is what termed as floor pattern. It may take a form of ciircle, square line, or zigzag. MOVEMENT QUALITIES TIME QUALITIES:
1. Movements which is fast

Examples; turtle; flower growing FORCE QUALITIES:
1. Soft – Light Movement

Are sometimes called fundamental rhythms or natural dances.
A creative rhythm is an end product of exploration and
improvisation of movements
Use as Instrument of expression.
2. FOLK/ETHNIC DANCE
A cultural art form handed down from generation to
generations.
Itcommunicates the customs, belief, rituals, and occupations of
the people of a region or country.
Folk dancing belongs to the people and danced by the people of
the tribe. Examples of folk dances are the rural and country dances, jotas, mazurkas, pandanggos, among others with foreign influence.
Examples of ethnic dances are the dances of the mountain
people of the Cordilleras, dances of the ethnic groups in the Cagayan Valley Region and the ethnic dances in the Mindanao Regions. 3. SOCIAL AND BALLROOM DANCE
The settingg of the social and ballroom dance is a social
gathering with the more formal atmosphere than the simple and informal parties in which the recreational dances are the usual forms.
Social and ballroom dancing are generally held in the evenings.
The participants are usually in formal attire.
RECREATIONAL DANCE
Includes dance mixers, square dance round and couple dancers.
Many of these dances have simple patterns and combinations of
walking steps, polka step and the waltz step.
The setting is usually informal gatherings and parties, reunions
etc, CREATIVE DANCE
Is the highest form of dance.
It is the end-product of exploration and improvisation of movements
The dancer expresses his feelings or emotions, ideas, and
interpretations. This is a dance with a definite form, a beginning and an ending.
The principles of art form are all observed in the composition of
the dance.
Examples of creative dance are ballet, jazz, and modern or
contemporary dance. Ballet (French: [balɛ]) - is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. It has since become a widespread and highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. Jazz dance - combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms. Contemporary dance - is a specific genre of concert dance that concerns non- choreographic movements influenced by compositional philosophy. Modern dance was born before contemporary dance and focuses mainly on the emotions of dancers, while the second, focuses on creating new techniques and styles.
