 Toyota founded in 1933
 It’s a Japanese car manufacturing company
 It has assembly plants and distributors in many countries
 Few of its brands include Lexus and Prius

Strengths

Toyota applies Kaizen and TQM approach which enables it to

achieve quality and reduce cost of manufacturing
Toyota has started mass production of hybrid cars and got
competitive advantage in their production
Toyota has well established brand image and is a global company

Weaknesses

There had been numerous recalls in the past

It has outsourced few of its cars parts, and has no control on
their quality.
Toyota has not covered aggressively the emerging markets

Opportunities

Toyota should concentrate on hybrid cars

Toyota should tap emerging markets aggressively

Toyota designs are innovative, it should continue producing

innovative products (vehicles)

Threats

Covid 19 if continue could have drastic effects on its sales

Ditch the car trend is improving which may have significant

impact on sales
Increased competition have serious threat.
