Abstract:
• Mobile tracking system is used to monitor vehicles position and in special
cases there are much useful information can be monitored such as speed,
cabin temperature and number of passenger.

• This monitoring process is done using vehicle's position data from satellite
through GPS device, and sending the data to a server through GSM modem.

• Managing all vehicle data using Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication

form which Open Machine Type Communication (Open MTC) as
communication platform for aggregating and processing location data.
Introduction:
 Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication offers a new
communication approach that enable connecting billions of
sensor objects to actuators.
 One implementation of M2M ETSI standard is the Open Machine
Type Communication (Open MTC) platform that is developed by
Fraunhofer FOKUS.
 One pre-eminence of Open MTC platform is the ability to access
and process information through standardized application
programming interfaces (APls).
Mobile Tracking System:

 Mobile tracking system can use M2M platform for the

implementation.

 The benefits of employing M2M platform are to increase

the automation degree of the system and reduce the
errors caused by human-machine interaction.

 Module control system works to process data and send

SMS.

Architecture

System is divided into four parts:

1. M2M Network Area

2. Gateway Service Capability Layer
(GSCL)
3. Network Service Capability Layer
(NSCL)
4. Application domain

Message flow

 The application sends a

request to the gateway to
access required information
from the available resource,
or subscribe to them, and get
notifications when sensor data
is received by gateway.

Implementation and Analysis

 Implementing system involves

several hardware and software.
 It consists of hardware of
monitoring system, GPS and GSM
modules and application of
monitoring system.
 Information from gateway is
continued by system and then
captured by web application to be
converted into world map and

Advantages

 Business Management

 Emergency services

 Colleague and friend tracking

 Child Safety
Disadvantages

 It poses many privacy concerns.

 It may not always work to its 100%

efficiency.
Applications

• To avoid mobile thefting.

• It supports various features like photo sending and live chat

communication.

• Mobile tracking Application can operate in an incognito

mode(secrete mobile tracking).

• Through mobile tracking you have the possibility to upload a

photo on your account.
Conclusion

 The system has been successfully implemented on the open

MTC platform.

 The proposed approach offers scalable and adaptable mobile

tracking system.

 The result of the implementation shows high accuracy of the

system in monitoring the position of tracked objects.
