WHAT ARE THE

QUINCEAÑOS?
•The quinceaños are one of the most
important festivals in Mexican culture.
It’s a familiar tradition that's represent the
stage of a girl towards becoming a
woman.
•The quinceaños celebration has its
origins in the Aztec people, and with time
it evolved to become a celebration at the
vel to a wedding.
Quinceanera wears a dress that can be very expensive as a wedding dress
and families regularly invest a lot of money for the event despite the great
price. 
Planning begins one year in advance and requires the resources and help of
several family members and friends.

•Today, gifts range from cash to clothing. The party is a very

big affair, traditionally lasting at least six hours.

Generations ago, wealthy families used to give a trip to Europe to

their young daughters, often to Paris.

•Being a party, there is always dancing and usually a group or DJ plays

cumbia music, Banda , salsa and traditional Mexican songs.
Traditionally, the celebrant officially opens the party by dancing a waltz
with her father or main chamberlain. 

A formal dinner is also given at the party. There is also a toast or

congratulation, in which the attendees allude to the proudly
celebrated and pleasant anecdotes of his childhood. This is also
the occasion when parents give special messages with which they
transfer wisdom and life experiences to their daughter. 
•Some families take the opportunity of the fifteenth
anniversary celebration to add non-traditional features
such as Hindu food, in which Raja specializes, as well as
Mexican food. "In addition to food from their own
culture, families sometimes request a couple of Indian
dishes like chicken or lamb curry," he adds.
•If you are looking for a splendid and fashionable outfit, then
you just need to wear a casual and formal way. For example,
