PREGNANCY

INTRODUCTION

 It is common in pregnancy due to relaxation of the esophageal sphincter.


 Hiatus hernia which is common during pregnancy can also produce heartburn,
especially when the patient is in lying down position.
NATRUM PHOSPHORICUM
(PHOSPHATE OF SODIUM)
 Ailments from :-
- Sugar
- Milk
- Fat food
- Bitter food
- Thunderstorm
 CHARACTERISTICS SYMPTOMS OF MEDICINE :-

- It is a remedy for conditions arising from the excess of lactic


acid And often resulting from too much sugar.
- Ailments with excess of acidity.
- Sour eructation and taste.
- Sour vomiting.
- Sour eructation after eating.
- Colic and pressure with acidity.
- Heaviness and pressure in epigastrium.
- Vomiting of sour cheesy masses.
- Yellow, Creamy coating at the back of roof of mouth and tongue.
 GUIDING SYMPTOMS OF THE MEDICINE :-
- It is a remedy for diabetes and oxaluria.
- All discharges are yellowish and creamy.
- Desire for strong tasting things ; eggs , fried fish , beer which
ameliorates the complaint.
- Aversion to bread and butter.
- Colic with symptoms of worms .
- Greenish diarrhoea.
- Spits mouthful of food.
 Female :-
 - Sterility; with acid secretions from vagina.
 - Leucorrhoea, sour, creamy, honey coloured or acid and watery.
 - Morning sickness, with sour vomiting.
- During menses, feet icy cold during day; burn at night, in bed.
 Mind :-
 - Mental weakness.
 - Fear agg. At night; that something will happen.
 - Imagines that pieces of furniture are persons; he hears
footsteps in the next room.
 - Nervous, forgetful.
 - Sad from music.
 - Indifferent to everything; to his family.
 - Sits quite still for a long time.
- Easily frightened.
Modality
 Aggravation :-
Sugar.
• Milk.
• Mental exertion.
• Thunderstorm.
• Gas light.
• Coitus.
• Walking upstairs.
• Bitter foods.
• Fat food.
 Amelioration :-
cold
