Design & optimization of microstrip antennas for WBAN applications

Under Guidance of: Submitted By:

P. Uday Ashish
Dr. Sindhu Hak Gupta (A2315320006)
OBJECTIVES :

1. Creation of dataset comprising of various antenna design

parameters, dimensions, substrates used, etc.
2. Implementation of Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Artificial Neural
Networks (ANN) for obtaining optimized design parameters
3. Designing of optimized antenna for WLAN and WiMAX
applications.
4. Comparison of results of optimized design with non-optimized
design
Optimization of dataset using ANN
• A dataset of 300 samples were trained, tested and validated using Scaled Conjugate Gradient algorithm. The width &
height of feed, dielectric constant and height of substrate were used as inputs, and patch impedance and single ended
impedance were used as outputs.
