argumentative is based on factual evidence
 Persuasive purpose is to asks audience to do something while argumentative
proves a point to the audience
 Persuasive basis is based on character and emotion while argumentative is based
on established position and logic

 Introduction- identified an issue that is being discussed by the author emphasizing his
position ably the issue

 Body of the paper-illustrates the central argument which can be presented trough a
brief description of the argument

 Conclusion-restates the main points then summarizes the argument made in the
