Report on Village Attachment:
In the Village Attachment part of RAWE-2022 we had
performed several tasks, our main framework was divided
into 4 basic parts-
 Collection of primary data of the village directly from the
villagers.
 Collection of secondary data about the village from the different
reliable sources.
 Experiencing different farming activities and various indigenous
techniques, that are used by the farmers of that village.
 Writing & submission reports of various interventions that were
performed by us.
The studies we had done in the village is as follows:
In the very 1st week of RAWE we had performed the
household survey, specifically the asset particulars, income
and expenditure details, cropping pattern etc. by simply
interacting with the farmers.

Interaction with
the farmers for the
interventions
After that, in the next week we have done the agronomical
interventions, we had studied the existing crop in the field,
nutrient management, water management weed management,
cropping pattern, cropping intensity etc.
In the 3rd week we had studied plant protection
interventions. We had studied insect diversity, P:D ratio,
disease severity etc.
In the 5th week we had studied about soil intervention.

Next week we collected data about food processing, farm

mechanization, irrigation facilities etc.
In the 7th week we have collected information about different
kinds of animal present in that village.
In the last week (i.e. in the Extension & TOT activites week) we
had collected information about communication pattern of
villagers with the rural and agricultural information.

Rathindra KVK. And orientation of KVK was
done. In the classroom of Rathindra KVK
After that introduction we had performed several tasks,
like-
We had observed improved ways of cultivation of Azolla
in a small place. We had also cultivated fresh Azolla in a
small waterbody.

Preparation of Vermicompost bed Cultivation of Azolla in the tank Preparation of land for sowing Green
Gram
My Findings
 Most of the farmers in the village is small and marginal.
 Farmers use there farm yard manure along with
chemical fertilizers.
 Farmers cultivate mainly paddy as they think it is the
easiest crop to be cultivated.
