It’s an art movement that emerged in the USA and
the UK (mid- to late-1950s)
Artists used things that are common in life (like e.
g. advertisements, commics, products you can buy
in shops) and mad a painting of it
Pop Art in USA developed differently than in the
UK
It contained hard-edged compositions and
representational art
Pop Art was also based on Dadaism, which was an
art movement from the early 20th century, that
started in Europe
