Lord,
don’t go to the wrong place.
2. God’s message is often very simple.
3. God does not do things the way we think they
should be done.

1. When you are wanting to
be healed by the Lord,
don’t go to the wrong place.
(II Kings 5:5b-7)
“For the time is coming when people
will not endure sound teaching, but
having itching ears they will
accumulate for themselves teachers
to suit their own passions, 4 and will
turn away from listening to the truth
and wander off into myths.”(II
Timothy 4:3-4)
Psalm 119:11 I have stored up your word in
my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Proverbs 13:20
Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but
the companion of fools will suffer harm.
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for
even Satan disguises himself as an angel of
light.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above
all things, and desperately sick; who can
understand it?
2. God’s message is
often very simple.
2 Mga Hari 5:9-10
Nalaman ito ni Naaman kaya sumakay
siya sa kanyang karwahe, at pumunta sa
bahay ni Eliseo, kasama ang marami
niyang kawal na nakasakay sa kabayo at
mga karwahe. 10 Ipinasabi sa kanya ni
Eliseo: “Pumunta ka sa Ilog Jordan.
Lumubog ka ng pitong beses at
magbabalik sa dati ang iyong katawan.
Gagaling ang iyong ketong.”
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise
You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have
hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and
have revealed them to infants.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that, as the
serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds
will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of
devotion to Christ.
Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring
the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making
wise the simple.
3. God does not do things
the way we think they
should be done.
“And Elisha sent a messenger to
him, saying, “Go and wash in the
Jordan seven times, and your flesh
shall be restored, and you shall be
clean.” But Naaman was angry and
went away, saying, “Behold, I
thought that he would . . . . . So he
turned and went away in a rage.”
(II Kings 5:10-12)
Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets
will appear and perform great signs and wonders to
deceive, if possible, even the elect.

“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to
you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions
from their own minds, not from the mouth of the
LORD.
Matthew 16:11-12 How is it you don’t understand that I
was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard
against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then
they understood that he was not telling them to guard against
the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the
Pharisees and Sadducees.
4. One “little” sin can have
dire consequences that last
generations.
“He went in and stood before his master,
and Elisha said to him, “Where have you
been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant
went nowhere.” But he said to him, “Did
not my heart go when the man turned from
his chariot to meet you? . . . .Therefore the
leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to
your descendants forever.” So he went out
from his presence a leper, like snow.”
(II Kings 5:25-27)
4. One “little” sin can
have dire consequences
that last generations.
1 Kings 15:19 Let there be a treaty between you and me,
as between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent
you a present of silver and gold; go, break your treaty with
Baasha king of Israel so that he will withdraw from me.”
1 Samuel 8:3 His sons, however, did not walk in his
ways, but turned aside after dishonest gain and took
bribes and perverted justice.

be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the
Lord our God will have no part in unrighteousness or
partiality or the taking of a bribe.”
