    WADI PROJECT
    Introduction of WADI
    • WADI program/Scheme is control & funded by Tribal
    Development Fund
    • The project emphasises on livehood generation of tribal
    people through various farm and off-farm activites.
    • In the district orchard based farm sector has been
    choosen.
    • An Agri-Horti-silviculture model has been adopted in
    all project to ensures increase in income level of farmer
    both in short term and long term basis.
    • Apart from framing, health, institution building, women
    development, processing marketing etc have been taken
    care of during the implementation of the project.

    • In WADI project tribal farmers are taken as beneficiaries and
    facilateing them by developing 0.5 to 1 ac of WADI(orchard
    based livelihood support)
    • The 4 project have covered 2425ac of WADI with 3572
    beneficiaries
    • The farmer has been supported with
    Horticultural crop- mango,cashew,litchi,
    Forest plant- teak,eucalyptus,mahaneem
    Agriculture crop- pulses,millets,etc
    • Irrigation system, fenching and earthen work for UVS (Udyan
    Vikas Samiti)
    • Capacity building, training and institutional building have been
    conducted for farmer
