Summary

This bulletin describes how to set Zoning Control and set up Master Indoor Unit
for Multi V 4 Heat Recovery.

Information

■ Zoning Control installation for Multi V 4 Heat recovery


- When installing zoning, operation mode of zoning indoor units will be followed by the former
indoor unit mode.
ex) At first time, Indoor unit #2 turns on to cooling mode and then turn on Indoor unit #3 .
Indoor unit #3 will be operated in cooling mode.

■ Setting Zoning Control Master indoor unit


- After installing zoning and determining Master indoor unit, operation mode of all indoor units
in the same zone will be followed by Master indoor unit.
ex) If Indoor unit #2 is designated as Master indoor unit, operation mode of Indoor unit #3 will
be followed by unit #2.
- To apply Zoning control Master Indoor unit, check the program version of the outdoor unit.
It requires version 9.0 or higher.

• Appendix : Setting the Master Indoor Unit at the Outdoor Unit PCB
Step 1) Stop system operation by using the ‘OFF’ button of the remote controller of the indoor unit.
Step 2) Turn on DIP switch #5 like below Fig. 1 to start option setting mode.
Step 3) Push ‘◀’ button and ‘▶’ button to display ‘Idu’ on the 7-segment and then confirm with red button.
Step 4) Push ‘◀’ button and ‘▶’ button to display ‘Id7’ on the 7-segment and then confirm with red button.
Step 5) Assign HR Unit number and Pipe number like below :
• 7-Segment Display : [ x ] [ y ] [ _ ] [ _ ]
where [ _ ] : empty , [ x ] : HR Unit number , [ y ] : Pipe number
• To change HR Unit number : Push ‘◀ ‘ button.
-Note 1 : Range of display number is from 1 to detect number of HR Unit.
-Note 2 : Two-digit HR Unit number is displayed as A(=10th HR Unit), B(=11st HR Unit),
C(=12nd HR Unit), … , F(=15th HR Unit), G(=16th HR Unit)
• To change Pipe Number : Push ‘▶’ button.
- Note : Range of display number is from 1 to assigned number by the HR Unit DIP
switch
Step 6) To confirm and go to next step, push ‘●’ button.
Step 7) Assign the Master Indoor Unit number like below :
• 7-Segment Display : [ _ ] [ _ ] [ x ] [ y ]
where [ _ ] : empty , [ x ] : Second digit of the Indoor Unit number, [ y ] : First digit of the
Indoor Uni number
• To change Indoor Unit number : Push ‘◀’ button and ‘▶’ button.
-Note : Displayed Indoor Unit numbers are connected to the Pipe ot the HR Unit which
is assigned from Step 5.
Step 8) To confirm and go to next step, push ‘●’ button.
Step 9) Final decision which is determined on the Step 8 is displayed. Now reset the system.

There are two files for Onboarding as below

- setup_fdf4.9.exe
Setup file for Onboarding program
If this file does not setup, Onboarding is impossible

- Cycle.fpf4
Exe file for Cycle PCB Onboarding S/W
If setup_fdt4.9.exe file does not setup, it is unable to use.

1.4 How to setup and operate the program

1.5 Setup file for LGMV7

There are two files for LGMV7 as below
