PROJECT PROPOSAL

FIRST GRADING PERIOD

 Background

•Unit 1 focuses on Jesus, call to the

Church to serve. This originates in the
apostles, whom He called to follow Him
and go to the world to spread the Good
News. He called them to proclaim the
Good News to all especially to the poor,
outcast, marginalized, oppressed.
 Background

• We are being called to be inspired

to serve the church and the
community. In our own simple
way, we are also able to inspire
others to flame the fire of the
vocation to serve.
 Project

• In line with this, the Grade 9 Level will

have a song writing project which
later on will be performed in-front of
the class. The song composition and
presentation is one of the many ways
in expressing our joys and faith as
Disciples of Christ.
 DETAILS and PROCEDURES:

•This group performance project will

be a classroom based activity to be
participated by all students.
 DETAILS and PROCEDURES:

• The class is given a choice whether

the song to be composed is in
Filipino or English as long as it will
highlight any of the following theme:
 Commissioned Disciple
 The Call to Service
 Fishers of Men
 DETAILS and PROCEDURES:

• The song must last for a minimum

time of 3 minutes but will not
exceed to 5 minutes.
• The CLVE Teacher will have the
groupings for the class compose of
groups with 3 members each.
 DETAILS and PROCEDURES:

• Once the group already compose the

lyrics of the song, they will submit it first
to the CLVE teacher for evaluation and
approval.
• Once the composed song is approved,
they will put music to it. The music may
be an original melody or an adaptation
from an existing song music.
 DETAILS and PROCEDURES:

• Once the lyrics and music are

approved, each group will now start
practicing. The CLVE teacher will
schedule the practices only during
CLVE classes. The CLVE teacher
strongly discourages practices after
class or outside school premises.

• The CLVE teacher will prepare a

timetable of practices as part of his
daily lesson schedule until the
performance date. The final project
presentation is on August 12-16, 2019
and can be extended on August 19-23,
2019.

• Costumes and musical instruments are

allowed for the sake of having a better
musical presentation, however, the CLVE
teacher strongly advise all students not to
buy or spend money for costumes and
musical instruments. They may wear
simple clothes and may use musical
instruments that are available.

• The CLVE teacher will invite a judge for

this activity
• On the day of the presentation, each
group will pass a final copy of their
composed song to the teacher together
with the chord of music for their song
(only if the music is their own rendition).

• The teacher will also give each

group a copy of the details of the
project as well as the rubrics for
grading and the schedule of
performances.
