Filipino ethnic dance choreographer,
theater director, teacher, author, and
researcher. She founded the Bayanihan
Philippine National Folk Dance Company
and was awarded a National Artist of the
Philippines in 1988 for her work in dance.

Navarro was a young artist who was very passionate
about inventing new approaches of painting. He
experimented with several art mediums such as oil,
acrylic, and watercolor. He also experimented with
sculpture and mixed media. He used "incision
painting" on the stop surface, which involves cutting
out the artist's chosen design on the stone materials
and layering paint or plaster on the stone surface.
