Out of school modules – Important Note

If you are taking an Out-of-School optional module, you need prior

written agreement with the course convenor and with the year 3 lead for
the MEng (Kishen Rengaraj).

Consider the following departments: mathematics (some modules

available specifically for engineers), business school (a number of
modules are appropriate - see separate list), or language school (level to
be determined by agreement with the module convenor).

Overall, you must have 100 credits at level 3 or above in year 3.

Out of school courses previously approved, check with module convenor

How to select
modules
How to see what’s in a course on Moodle

• All students in engineering have observer access for the current year’s
engineering modules
• To see a module - go to ‘Site home’
• Enter the module code or a title
keyword in the search box or navigate via
the UNUK
menu to the
department’s
modules
What to enrol on?

• Look at the Programme Plan and familiarise yourself with what is needed to graduate
on an accredited degree
• Look at the module specification – particularly the learning outcomes, pre-requisities
and assessments
• Discuss with the module convenor during Modfest
• Look at the module enrolment webpage for more guidance

Note the responsibility is ultimately yours to ensure you have an approved accredited degree content
Where to enrol

• You need to enrol your optional module choices in NottinghamHub – Can be

accessed through the module enrolment webpage

• There is a short video that explains what you need to do

When to enrol

Enrolment opens on Tuesday the 3rd of May at 11:30am
