WEEKLY HOME LEARNING PLAN (WHLP)

• The WHLP serves as a guide for learners on what they need to

accomplish each week when they do independent study at home (DepEd,
2020).
• It outlines the learning tasks that learners need to do, using the Modules,
in order for them to attain the most essential learning competencies
(MELCs).
• The WHLP also trains learners to take responsibility for their own
learning as they follow the prescribed schedule in the plan.
WEEKLY HOME LEARNING PLAN (WHLP)

• The Weekly Home Learning Plan will be based on the actual class
program. It shall be prepared by the subject teacher, reviewed by the
class adviser and approved by the school principal.
• The Weekly Home Learning Plan shall be prepared by teachers
implementing distance and blended learning.
• It helps teachers and parents in keeping track of the day to day in
school and off school general learning processes, as they implement
the most suitable and feasible alternative learning modality.

WHAT ARE THE PARTS OF THE WEEKLY
HOME LEARNING PLAN?
1. DAY and TIME
• It should be based on our class program for this
school year 2021-2022. If we have 6 subjects, we are
going to prepare 6 WHLP. The content of the lesson
are just the same.
 WE NEED TO PREPARE A WHLP FOR 8 WEEKS
(SECOND QUARTER). HERE’S THE SCHEDULE:

• WEEK 1 (NOV. 15-19) • WEEK 5 (DEC. 13-17)

• WEEK 2 (NOV. 22-26) • WEEK 6 (JAN. 3-7)
• WEEK 3 (NOV. 29-DEC. 3) • WEEK 7 (JAN. 10-14)
• WEEK 4 (DEC. 6 – 10) • WEEK 8 (JAN. 17-21)

• This refers to the subjects prescribe to be taken by the
learner in a particular grade level.
3. LEARNING COMPETENCIES
• This refers to the KSAV’s or knowledge, skills, attitude and
values that learners need to demonstrate in every lesson or in
every learning activity.

4. LEARNING TASKS
• Formative learning opportunities created for learners
to enhance their understanding of the content. The
Self instructional modules has learning activities
provided for the students.

5. MODE OF DELIVERY
• This refers to the method of submission of learning
outputs preferred by the learners. Like online submission
through email, personal submission by the parents in
school, send outputs to google classroom account
provided by the teacher or any other platform
recommended by the school.

WHAT MAKES THE WHLP AND LRCG ESSENTIAL TO
THE PROCESS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE
NEW MODALITY?

• The WHLP and LRCG is essential to the process of teaching and

learning in the new modality since it serves as a blueprint of a
concrete plan to guide the learners, parents, learning facilitators,
and stakeholders on what subject, objective and activities should
the learner do and accomplish to meet the required competencies in
the modular learning modality. The WHLP and LRCG will be the
basis to track down the day to day activities of the children.
