Conclusions
3.8 µm × 3.8 µm
• Transmission simulations show the existence of a
pseudo-gap for TE polarization.
• The gap width increases for increasing size of the
considered portion of alumina structure.
5.1 µm × 5.1 µm
• The minimum value of transmission decreases with the
portion size.
• For the TM polarization a frequency range with low
transmission corresponding to a low density of states is
6.3 µm × 6.3 µm observed.
