Gratitude is the feeling of appreciation and esteem
of a good received, spiritual or material, which is expressed in the voluntary desire to correspond through words or through a gesture. Being a feeling, gratitude is not an obligation.
The feeling of gratitude does not prescribe when the
person reciprocates, since he perceives the good received as unquantifiable, eternal or invaluable. For example: "I will always be grateful for the education my parents gave me." Gratitude is esteemed as a social value, since other related values are revealed in it, such as the recognition of the other, the reciprocity of gifts, fidelity, loyalty and friendship and, all of this in turn, can lead to build love in its broadest sense.
