SOME and ANY are very similar words.


• They aren’t singular or plural.
• They can be used with both count and noncount nouns:
Some water / some friends
Any sugar / any shoes

But check these tips:


• Any is used in questions and negative answers:
I’m thirsty. Do you have any coke?
No, I’m sorry. I don’t have any (coke).
• Some is used in positive ideas: NOTE: In negative
I have some orange soda if you want. answers or ideas any
