Speak up with symbol-based AAC
• Not being able to speak isn’t the same as having nothing
to say. Children, teens and adults who can’t speak can
use this Augmentative and Alternative Communication
(AAC) app for iOS as a daily communication tool and to
build language skills. From the first time someone opens
the app, a few taps are all it takes to start talking to the
world. Choose from different voices.
• Found on the app store for $249.99 but offers a 50%
discount when schools purchase 20 or more copies.

• Record quick videos of your screen and cam. An essential tool
for hybrid workplaces.
• The software allows you to record your screen and a short video
together. I think this would be a great tool for any teacher to help
walk students through lessons easier with visuals while
explaining it to students.  I also think it would be a great use for
when you are out sick and there is a substitute teacher in.  You
can record yourself before with lessons and steps for the students
and it would be like you are there teaching the lesson while you
are out.  They could replay it as much as they wanted to make
sure they know exactly what is expected and needed for the
assignment.
• There is a free option (Starter) with limited use.  The next step
up is $8/month (Business) with a free 14-day trial. They have a
top package (Enterprise) which is truly unlimited, but you have
to contact the website for pricing.

• A teacher’s tool that turns the printed pages of
any classroom into engaging digital activities.
• Teachers can use the software for creating
digital assignments.  It can also be a great tool
for students because when you use it as a
teacher students receive scores, comments,
and corrections in a shorter period of time. It
can also be a great tool when teaching online
and in the classroom.  The software will bridge
the gap between the two making it easier for
teachers to grade work done online and in the
classroom. Teachers can also make changes to
already created pdfs to fit the needs of
different assignments.
• It has a free trial period and then it is $59 per
year after the trial period.

• Engage your students with 250+ virtual science simulations, immersing
them in an interactive learning environment where they practice lab skills
and visualize theory. Labster is the world’s leading platform for virtual labs
and science simulations.
• Labster would be a great addition for any High School Science teacher.  It
has 100's of simulations for labs. It covers all different types of sciences
from STEM, microbiology, and chemical sciences.  I think it's another
great tool to use for when teachers may be absent from class or are
teaching online.  The students still get to see the experiment happen
through video and still get the visual while not having the instructor present
at the time.  It also creates an interactive environment where students
don't just watch but can participate in the labs themselves.
• There is a fee involved but all require an inquiry into the website itself.

• “Our mission is to make teaching easier with the interactive tools,
resources, and content teachers need, all in one place.”
• This would be beneficial for the classroom because a teacher can
create a lesson and when presenting it to the class, the students
can also have it right in front of them. This minimizes distractions
and has everyone participating. It is a pre-made lesson and
includes formative assignments that the students can complete to
check for understanding. It is also a student-paced program.
• Sign up is free and there are 3 different packages. The silver
package is free; the gold package comes out to a $159 yearly fee;
and the platinum package has a yearly fee of $397.

• “Students are encouraged to participate in games with
rewards for answering questions and exploring new
methods of learning. Overcoming our challenges
drives students to perform well while reviewing.”
• This source is a fun and effective game for students. It
is expected for kids to forget material after not
working on it for a while. A game like this helps kids
review old information while also having a fun
competition. This can also help keep the students
engaged in their lessons. Blooket offers a multitude of
review questions for different subjects and grade
levels.

• “Engage students in academically rigorous content built for both
front of class and distance learning settings.”
• Flocabulary offers lessons in all materials such as language arts,
math, social studies, science, life skills, vocabulary, and current
events. This software allows students to learn while being
creative. It exposes students to art with educational videos. They
also offer vocabulary cards, games, formative assessments, and
quizzes. They have a text-to- speech feature and other features
that heavily emphasize vocabulary and are beneficial for ELL
students. They have a guide on their website specifically for ELL
students.
• Individual teachers are charged a monthly fee of $11.50 and
there is custom pricing for schools and districts.

• Create customized browsing environments in the digital
classroom and set parameters specific to the subject being
taught.  Through the interaction with student screens: Open tabs
to helpful resources, close irrelevant tabs, and annotate on a
student’s screen to guide them towards purposeful content and
help them maintain focus.
• Go Guardian allows educators to view, message, and interact
with students' school-issued devices.  It’s a great tool to
encourage students to stay on task, remind them of upcoming
assignments, open up helpful tabs/resources - particularly
beneficial for younger pupils who may find locating web pages
challenging.  Go Guardian may also be utilized as a layer of
virtual security, alerting educators when inappropriate material
is accessed.

• Padlet is a free online tool that is best described as an online

notice board. Padlet can be used by students and teachers to
post notes on a common page. The notes posted by teachers
and students can contain links, videos, images and document
files.
• Padlet is a great tool to create a freely available online notice
board that can be shared with any student/teacher via a
unique Padlet link.  Padlet works well for team/class
brainstorming or projects as multiple collaborators can add
text, images, and drawings to a virtual whiteboard, it’s a fun,
easy, and intuitive way to gather many individual ideas for a
team assignment.  Students love seeing their individual input
as part of a bigger project.
• Padlet is free!

• Bitmoji is your own personal emoji. Create an
expressive cartoon avatar, choose from a growing
library of moods and stickers - featuring YOU!
Bitmoji is a free app that allows you to send a
personalized avatar to your friends and family across
various chat programs.
• Bitmoji is a free app that allows you to create your
own humanized cartoon avatar, create fun looking
home pages or landing pages.  You can add
background images and ‘decorate’ your space to
create a (hopefully) appealing look to online class
resources, announcements, lessons, library,
storytelling.  I think Bitmoji characters/backgrounds
create a fun looking environment for students to
access virtual information.
• As mentioned before Bitmoji is free!
