CASE 1
Mr.H is 26 years old was brought to the emergency room of Sidoarjo regional
hospital by his family with complaints of abdominal pain since 2 days ago.
Then Mr.H was examined by a doctor on duty according to the procedure, then
acute appendicitis was diagnosed. The doctor contacted the surgeon, and got
advised to give wide spectrum antibiotic intravena and hospitalize the patient,
because the surgeon has another CITO operation and could not do the surgery
immediately. The doctor then explains to the patient about the patient’s
condition and agree to hospitalization.

CASE 2
A female patient 66 years old was taken by her family to the emergency room of
Sidoarjo regional hospital came with a complaint that half of her body could not be moved.
According to the family information, the patient had fallen in the rice field and half of his
body could not be moved. In addition the patient also complained that it was difficult to
speak and open his mouth. The physical examination was performed to find the right limb
left behind.
Patients receive fluid and oxygen therapy. The doctor advises the patient to be
hospitalized and explain everything about the patient's disease to the family. The family
agreed to hospitalization but the patient think already feel good and forced to go home.
Families try to make agreement with patient that she must follow doctor advised, but patient
get angry and remove the oxygen mask used. The doctor again explained the reason the
patient had to be hospitalized but the patient still insisted on going home and signing the “by
own request” letter
