BODILY-KINETHETIC INTELLIGENCE
I. What is Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence?

- Also called “Body Smart”


- Expresses ideas, thoughts and feelings
through Movement.
- Skilled in handling objects and creating
things.
Characteristics of Bodily-Kinesthetics Intelligence

1 Superior and smooth body control.


Good hand eye co-ordinary.

2 Enjoys concrete learning

3 Learns by physical experiencing
and doing things.
Common Activities:

II. Application of Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence in Activity 2
1. Name of the activity: Miming
2. Objectives:

- to hold out-of-class activity to help students recall


vocabulary of the topic “HOBBIES” in a skillful
way.

- to encourage students to develop their acting skills


in terms of body language (posture, movements,
gestures, facial expressions)

- to help students gain a greater awareness of acting


skills’ importance as a form of communication.
II. Application of Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence in Activity 2
3. Description of Miming activity

- Teacher writes the word topic “HOBBIES” in the middle of the board.

- Each student takes turn to pick up one piece of paper containing a vocabulary
word.

- Students take turn to act out their words. The rest of the class will guess which
word they are miming.

- Students stick the papers with the words on the board around the word
“HOBBIES”

- Teacher helps students repeat the words chorally.
