ANNOTATION

Effective teacher is a flexible teacher. In line with the


new normal set-up of education, we have encountered
different modalities in teaching.
My first COT was done through video lesson wherein
we were still in the modular distance learning modality.
The subject that I discussed was Health VI and my topic
was all about Poor Environmental Sanitation. With the
technical assistance given by our school OIC, Dr. Jackie
Lou R. Bruno, I realized that I should observe the
modulation of my voice to deliver clear instruction.
My second COT was done through limited face-to-face
modality. I discussed about TLE VI – ICT and
Entrepreneurship and my topic was all bout Producing
Simple Products. In this demonstration teaching, I
therefore conclude that learners really learn by doing,
that’s why I let them learn by doing actual activity which is
making pastillas. They had fun while learning.

ANNOTATION

In this lesson exemplar, I use research-based


knowledge and/or principles of teaching and learning to
ensure that it upholds the quality of regular classroom
instruction, which will help me achieve the significant
impact on my pupils' overall learning. As a teacher, I want
to make the teaching-learning process a student-centered
wherein it shows more interactive and effective.
In order to help my pupils, achieve the desired
learning goals, I purposefully and intentionally use
evidence-based teaching techniques in my classroom.
Additionally, I employed explicit teaching, which is a kind
of step-by-step training. Furthermore, I applied the explicit
teaching system's two key instructional strategies, direct
instruction and modeling.

ANNOTATION

As Grade VI teacher, I should be expert in teaching


my learners using the proper medium of instruction.
In my COTs, I used English as a medium of
instruction. But, considering not all my learners
understand pure English, I have to integrate some Filipino
language whenever I discuss a lesson. On the other hand, I
should let them explore the used of English for them to
have better communication skills since they are in the
higher grade level.
