PROS
FASTER DECISION-MAKING

✔ This authority style empowers fast independent direction, which is one of the main
     advantages of autocratic leadership.
✔ Just the leader will gauge the pro's and con's of each and every choice rather than the whole association.
✔ There is just a single individual decides, the dynamic interaction regularly moves quicker.
✔ This can save time for other significant errands and keep groups working without stalling out on hard
choices.

BETTER COMMUNICATION

✔ Communication is the deliberate course of passing data starting with one individual then onto the next.
✔ On occasion, the first guidance might get lost inside complicated and different channels of
correspondence. Autocratic leadership generally urges one-way correspondence to wipe out this issue.
✔ The leader shares characterized jobs and examples of work with the representatives.
✔ Also, the directions will head directly to the workers. It is probably the greatest benefit of
the autocratic style.

CONS

1. LOW EMPLOYEE MORALE

One of the most significant disadvantages of exercising autocratic leadership is that it can
result in low employee morale. Most employees want to quit their jobs due to a lack of
recognition. Authoritarian leaders do not appreciate any input from their team members.
Moreover, they also like to enjoy the credit for the project’s success, leaving the employees
disheartened.

2. LEADS TO RESENTMENT
Employees who prefer some authority and decision-making powers in the team might not
appreciate autocratic leadership. The biggest problem is that no one talks about innovation
and out-of-the-box ideas in this leadership style. This working environment can leave
employees feeling suppressed. The result is an unhappy workforce.

3.DEVELOPS A SYSTEM OF DEPENDENCE

When this leadership creates a system of dependence, professionals operating under this
leadership can have lower confidence and slower decision-making skills.
CONS

4. LACK OF TRUST
If the leader does not trust the team members, then there will be no mutual trust among the team
members. Another is to affect the development of the team. Team members need to cooperate to
achieve the development of the team and themselves. Mutual trust is an important part of achieving
this goal. No trust basically means no development.

5. LACK OF CREATIVITY
An autocratic leader will only believe what he/she thinks, so when any employee or team member has
ideas and opinions that contradict his/her own, the autocratic leader will only deny other's ideas. Over
time, employees and team members will become silent, unconfident, and gradually lose new ideas and
creativity, and the company will also miss some potential development opportunities and possibilities.

6. AUTOCRACY MEANS OPRESSION

When some authoritarian leaders want to gain absolute obedience and authority, they sometimes take
extreme measures. The harm of words may be the least, and there may even be some illegal and
unreasonable measures to gain obedience. And oppression is contrary to our free and respectful work
environment today. Employees will simply resist or even leave.
Conclusion
• 1. Listen to your team
• 2. Establish clear rules
• 3. Provide tools
• 4. Be reliable
• 5. Acknowledge success

Autocratic leadership is usually most effective when

applied to a particular situation. Balancing this style with
other approaches, including democratic or transformati
onal styles, often leads to better team performance.
