Introduction
 Due to alarming spread of the COVID-19 virus,
responses of the National, Subnational and Local
Government Units are urgent and crucial in the
containment of the spread of pathogens in a
country.
 The Municipality of Pateros undeniably had been
affected by the spread of this disease, thus as one
of the primary mission of the BFP is to respond to
man-made and natural disasters, BFP Pateros plays
an importatnt part in the implementation of the
COVID-19 Protocol in its territorial jurisdiction.
Framework
 Conceptual Framework
 Theresearcher focused on the extent of
participation of the Bureau of Fire Protection
Pateros Station in the implementation of the
COVID-19 protocols in its territorial jurisdiction
which anchored on the Memorandum Circular No.
2020-007 dated 21 March 2020, Subject:
Amended Operational Guidelines on BFP
Response to COVID 19 Pandemic.

Scope and Limitations
 The respondents of this research study will
be the twenty (20) community residents of
the municipality of Pateros namely: Brgy
Sto. Rosario Silangan, Brgy Poblacion, Brgy
San Roque, Brgy Martirez, Brgy Sta Ana,
Brgy Aguho, Brgy Tabacalera, Brgy San
Pedro, Brgy Magtanggol, and Brgy Sto
Rosario Kanluran.
Statement of the Problem
1. What is the assessment of the respondents on the participation of the
Bureau of Fire Protection in the implementation of the COVID-19 protocols
in its territorial jurisdiction in terms of:
2.1 Manning of control points;
2.2 Decontamination;
2.3 Swabbing;
2.4 EMS transport; and
2.5 Vaccination?
2. Is there a significant difference among the group of respondents on the
assessment to the Bureau of Fire Protection in the implementation of the
COVID-19 protocols in its territorial jurisdiction?
3. Based on the results of the study, what inputs can be proposed to
enhance the participation of the Bureau of Fire Protection in the
implementation of the COVID-19 protocols?
Methodology
 Research Methods Used
Quantitative method specifically the descriptive design
 Population and Sampling Technique
Non-probability sampling was used in this study.
Purposive sampling
 Instrumentation
Researcher made questionnaire that compose of two (2) parts. The first part
is pertaining to profile of the respondents and the second part is about the
assessment on the participation of the Bureau of Fire Protection in the
implementation of the COVID-19 protocols in its territorial jurisdiction.
 Statistical Tools
 The Frequency and Percentage distribution will be used to tally the
profiles of the respondents.
 Kruskal-Wallis test or H-test
