WHAT IS A SUBJECT?

-Subject is a person or a
thing that is being
discussed or described in
the sentence. It can be a
noun or a pronoun.
WHAT IS A VERB?

-Verb is a word
that expresses
an action
WHAT IS SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT?

Subject-verb agreement means that


a subject and its verb must be both
singular or both plural:
A singular subject takes a singular
verb
A plural subject takes a plural verb

Singular proper nouns,


singular common
nouns, and mass nouns
go with the –s form of
a verb.
