 WORKING PRINCIPLE
AC Light Dimmer consist of TRIAC which is used for
Controlling the brightness of Lamp. The gate of TRIAC
is triggered by using DIAC, Potentiometer is used to
control gate signal of TRIAC using DIAC

TRIAC is triode for alternating current. It
is used as a control element in
alternating current (AC) circuits. It is a
Three Terminal device.

DIAC DB 3
DIAC is Diode for alternating current. It is
a Two Terminal device. It is used for
triggering of TRIAC in this project. It has
no gate terminal

utilized as:
• To control the heat of your soldering iron
