STUDENT ASSESS APP
Login to Wizemen, http://psg.wizemen.net and he/she should download the Wizemen Assess app from Wizemen-Assess-
>Resources->Wizemen Assess Application . For assistance they can contact IT helpdesk.
TO INSTALL WIZEMEN APPLICATION ON A MAC
• On a Mac, the downloaded Wizemen Application is in the form of a dmg file. Once downloaded the student
needs to open the dmg file and will be able to view the Wizemen App inside it
• The student SHOULD NOT directly open the Wizemen application inside the dmg file but instead SHOULD
first drag the application from the dmg file to the desktop. Once it is copied to the desktop, the student
shall open the app from from the desktop else he/will receive ‘Error Reading Assessment’ message.

Note :
If you view this error on opening installation, ‘Wizemen Assess OFFLINE cannot be
opened because the developer cannot be verified’,
• Go to ‘System Preferences-Security and Privacy-General, you will view Wizemen app
• option there. Click on ‘Open ‘Anyway’ or ‘Allow’
INSTALL WIZEMEN APPLICATION ON A WINDOWS DEVICE
• Extract the contents of the downloaded Wizemen-win-offline.zip file.
• Run the wizemen-win-offline.exe file from the extracted content to start the setup process.
• After the installation process has completed, you will then see a Wizemen Assess icon on your desktop which
you can click to run the application.
STUDENT ASSESS HOME
Student needs to go to Assess module (under Quick Links). He/she should click on ‘Download File’ button to download
assessment (.wizin) file.
DOWNLOAD TIME LIMIT OF THE ASSESSMENT FILE
The download link to download the assessment file will be available to the student only up to
the end time of the assessment.
i.e if the assessment is scheduled between 10am and 11am the student will be able to download
the assessment file till 1Pm and not later than that.
Students are therefore advised to download the assessment file as soon as they receive the
email from Wizemen and not wait for the last moment to download it.
Once the assessment file is downloaded, in case of homework, the students can start the
homework at any time without waiting for the scheduled start time. They can even attempt the
homework after the scheduled time but only if the file has been downloaded by them.
BEFORE OPENING THE FILE
Please check that your laptop is enough charged. If not, keep it connected with the charger.
As the assessment will start the clock starts on the top right, once the time ends,
the assessment will automatically end.
Students are hence advised to manage time during the assessment.
You cannot open WIZMEN (.wizin) file directly by clicking on it. You need to open Wize-
men app to open the .wizin file.
STUDENT WIZEMEN ASSESS APP
• Click on the Wizemen Asses Offline Icon in the desktop to open the App. If you are opening a new assessment and no
existing homework is in progress in the app, the assessment mode will by default have New selected and will be disabled.
In case you have an ongoing homework, then you will have an option to resume the existing homework or start a new
assessment.
• Click on ‘Browse’ button here to and choose the assessment file. The file will be in the ‘Downloads’ folder of your device
in the format:<<Subject>>-<<Date>>-<<Assessment Type>>-<<Name of Student>>-<<Student assessment
ID>>.wizin
STARTING THE ASSESSMENT
Click on the browse button to navigate to the .wizin file and open it. You will be required to first click your picture.
Do not unnecessarily press buttons or click the mouse while the picture option appears. If the picture shows error, click on
‘Skip’.
Enter the start code of the assessment and then press the “Start” button to start the assessment.
Once the start button is pressed, please wait till the assessment loads and the first question is fully visible. Depending on
the size of the assessment and the speed of the laptop this may take from a few seconds to along time to load. In such case
need to be patient and wait for the first question to appear. Again, do not unnecessarily press buttons or click the mouse
while the assessment is loading as it may corrupt the loading process.

ATTEMPTING THE ASSESSMENT
After pressing the Start button please wait for a few seconds for the assessment to load. It may take a few seconds for the
assessment to load depending on the size of the assessment and the speed of your system. Once the assessment loads the
following screen will appear
USING THE EQUATION EDITOR
To insert an equation in your answer click on the Equation Editor icon to open the equation editor. Enter the equation that you
want to insert in your answer and then press OK.

ATTEMPTING THE ASSESSMENT
On pressing OK the equation will be inserted at the position of the cursor in the multi-purpose editor. Double click on the
equation to re-open it in the equation editor for editing it.
USING THE CALCULATOR
Wizemen App now has the Desmos calculator embedded in it. Click on the calculator icon to open the calculator.
You have to follow the below mentioned steps while using calculator on Wizemen.

In case you receive ‘Upload unsuccessful’ message while uploading from app, you will have to close the application
and connect your laptop to Internet.
1. Once connected, login to http://psg.wizemen.net and go to Assess module under Quick links.
1. The laptop needs to be Core I3 or above with at least 8 GB RAM. (At least 2 GB RAM
should be free when running Wizemen)
2. System type needs to be 64-bit OS.
3. The Laptop needs to have at least 50GB of disk space free.
4. The minimum display resolution should be 1280 x 800
5. The Web Cam and Sound should be working properly on the Laptop
6. No background process/application like Skype, Any Messenger application, outlook,
Virus scanner, torrent, downloader, Internet browser, remote sharing application, etc.
should be running on the laptop while the student is running Wizemen for their assessments.
These applications may cause disruption due to which you may face lag while typing an
answer or the assessment may also close on its own.
POINTS TO REMEMBER
7. The Laptop should be free from any Virus, malware, adware or any other malicious
software.
8. The Laptop should be always updated with the latest security patches and updates for the
Operating system
9. All kinds of Update services/Auto-update e.g. Windows Update, Mac Update,
Office Update or update for any other application should be disabled while giving the
assessments.
10. Screen savers, Monitor Power off on idle state and Sleep options for the laptop should
be disabled while giving assessments on Wizemen.
The students are requested to strictly adhere to the mentioned points to avoid facing any
problem while giving the assessment which could range from slow running of assessment to
data corruption in case of non-adherence to the mentioned standards.
