Wait then at least 1 hour for the systems to be updated.

 Login in to the citrix server

First time you will be ask to install a citrix server client. After that you can login using your
normal DTU login in the first window and the code you are recieving on your mobile
phone on the next login screen

Generate a 4 digit pin-code in order to improve security
Before using the SMS-passcode you are obligated to set a PIN code.
             The PIN code is 4 digits and can be set or       
             changed at  https://smspasscode.ait.dtu.dk:3000/

This link does only work from an internal network which can e.g. achieved by
opening up a browser inside the secure remote desktop. So this should be done
first time you are using your scientific desktop (see later how to access this). After
you have generate a 4 digit pin-code XXXX. This pin-code you should use in front
of the passcode YYYYYY you will recieve on your mobile phone during by typing
XXXXYYYYYY

Now you are inside the Scientific Desktop. Don’t start Abaqus/CAE on the icon as you
do not have control over where the files will be located. Instead click on an existing
cae-file or generate an empty filename.cae and click on that in a folder located at
your M-drive. Then all your files will be located there (little more detailed on next
slide).

In order making abaqus
starting up in a selected
directory, don’t click the
abaqus icon
on the desktop. Instead, make
an empty file (New File) with
the extension cae and click
on that. In this way all files
related with the specific
abaqus case will be open in
that
folder. If you already have an
existing model then you shall
click on that. Note that you can
not work on files which are
located on the client computer

need to move them to your M-
drive) or on other local
mounted folders

• Make a folder with a filename.cae file

(e.g. an empty file) and the scripts etc.

• Click on the “Abaqus_Custom_CAE.bat”

script on the desktop and start abaqus
with the cae-file e.g. by move the file
over to the command window. Press
enter and you have now open an
abaqus running in the correct folder
